'Chasing up another 'lost' parcel with Customer 'Services' today was like banging my head against a brick wall for an hour an a half to eventually get nowhere and have them rudely put the phone down on me telling me that they had given me enough of their time already - and yet they gave me no credible details of how the issue was to be resolved and did not call me back as promised - they were so dismissive and rude it is no wonder that they encourage customers annoyance with this absolutely useless and reliably unreliable awful company. One star rating is much to generous - DPD should be avoided as their system and management are the pits! CUSTOMER SERVICES PUT THE PHONE DOWN ON ME, I WAS NOT RUDE AT ALL, THEY COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHY THE DRIVER SAID HE COULD NOT GAIN ACCESS TO MY ROAD, ROAD WAS OPEN, BASICALLY A LOAD OF LIES. THE SAME THING HAPPENED LAST WEEK AT AN ALTERNATIVE DELIVERY ADDRESS.
YOU MIGHT AS WELL NOT HAVE ANYTHING DELIVERED BY DPD. ALWAYS ASK THE COMPANY WHO WILL DELIVER, IF IT IS DPD, AVOID AND ORDER FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE. 'Well blow me down fed up of waiting for my DPD delivery so i sorted out myself yesterday and cancelled my order. Phone rings today then straight away hangs up next hear a knock on my door but in space of 1min from my living room to front door the elusive delivery driver has disappeared and 5-10mins later a photo arrives of the vicinity of where i live sneaky ninja dpd maybe should of cancelled last week when it was meant to arrived wonderful customer service A. DPD try to deliver early as they are in the area on Saturday. Nice idea, but obviously not the requested day. I get an email on Monday saying my request to have my delivery date moved to Tuesday has been accepted. This was news to me. I didn't make this request, which was worrying. Turns out it was an error at the distribution office. I'm assured the parcel will be delivered on Tuesday.

DPD service is so couldn't care less and unreliable and when you complain to Customer Services be prepared to totally waste an hour of your time and when you do get through to be insulted both verbally and intellectually. IF these people have any training then it must only be house training! As their conversations are apparently recorded they should easily be able to identify their many problems and appalling attitude IF THEY ARE THE SLIGHTEST INTERESTED! Start by sacking that woman who is on the pathetic recorded message you have to listen to when and if you get through.what often follows is pure hypocrisy!They are dishonest and disinterested they are rude and confrontational.DPD is just an awful company and should be avoided at all costs. No company this bad and with such an awful manner attitude and 'service' should be allowed to survive - Boycott them and suppliers - use a company more in line with your own standards or they will drag you down too!
'Not woth even a start, bad service, customer service not helpful. I di order pick up and delivery next day by 12 (midday). Firstly, the delivery did not come to pick up, texted to customer service, they offered me that I can drop off my parcel to dpd depot, I did dis with extra 40 pounds expense, as 19 parcels by taxi. I drop off my parcels, at least 5 times i asked and all these times I was assured it will reach the place tomorrow on time, So i have relaxed, as those parcels had to be by tomorrow in place, as it was for charity who had to pick them up.
But guess, i was contacted parcels did not arrive, and parcels were delivered 4 days later on monday, as they do not work saturdays. Because charity drivers were picking up on Friday I missed them, and had to organise another drivers, and it did cost me another 216 pounds. 300 spent in total on all these parcels and because of DPD service fail. I did request my refund, I was told, I can not to get because the service does not provide pick up service, which I did book on my order, then I did ask so I want the refund for the failing to deliver the parcels on time, so they said the delivery is not garanteed.
How not guranteed if i chose next day by 12. So they lie to customers, and when you want money back you wont get it, as they find these silly excuses, which is not written when you order your service. So dissapointing. As well have contacted dpd several times on live chat and customer help. Answer was same will look at the case and wait for another 3 days. And no response.
They JUST DONT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS. THE WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH NEVER AGAIN WAIST OF TIME, NERVES AND MONEY. 'Not professional though they boast to be the best delivery company. Expected delivery today, didn't arrive. Phoned company. The guy who I spoke to, took my details to which he couldn't find any parcel being delivered to my address for the next week anyway! Phoned the company who was sending me the parcel(vodafone), they immediately found it by the tracking no, and gave me all the info of what was happening.
Phoned dpd again, spoke to a woman who didnt even appologise for the companys mistake and told me that there was 7000 other deliveries to be attempted today!!! Mine was one of them!

150 pounds went to waste because they decided not to show up on the timeslot agreed upon but show up late! Had to go to class and came back to find that 'I' signed and received the parcel sent. Then when I contacted them after waiting for an entire 23 minutes for the worst costumer service to pick up and ask them where my parcel they said they will 'investigate' and get back to me in no more than 3 days it's been 10 days and I just received the most unprofessional reply that the driver had the correct address and it was delivered! 150 pounds from my limited student allowance went to waste because of their irresponsible drivers. I will not let this go and I will definitely file a lawsuit '. Hi, Good question! They have been very clever in the way they have gone through the franchise model to pass on a majority of there costs to their franchisees. With every franchised driver they do not have to pay National insurance, holiday pay, sick pay, pension, diesel, van costs, insurance, GIT, Van servicing, van repairs, Uniform and any parcels that get damaged or go missing.
Also franchised drivers are self employed so can work more than the 11 hour limit that employed drivers can not. So they make more money through franchised drivers As for franchised drivers making loads of money, 'what a load of b.it'. Once you get a good route and start making over 28k Gross they have the right to and will lower your drop pay rate so you do not go over that figure.
Working non stop all day on average from 6:30am to 19:00pm for 28k gross! On average they pay franchised drivers £1.70 a drop plus 10p a parcel extra if you have more than 1 parcel for 1 drop. If the customer is not in and you can not deliver to a neighbour then you do not get paid anything I tried it for 2 months as a employed driver, saw all the bull. and said I'm off!! DPD sent me invitation letter for their introduction meeting along asking me to bring all necessery personal information for franchise application.So sent email back saying that this meeting has only information and introduction purpose and i will not provide any personal details at this time and if they still happy to go for it then im happy to come down and talk to them,so i've had i reply that bla bla bla yes please come along. Ok my opinion on dpd, what a load of rubbish and lies to get you in there. I have just done 4 months with them and a few pointers that I noticed. My blue print said 90 drops per day to earn 28k achievable yeah only if you do 15 hours a day.
And on my route I was clearing with only 60 to 80 drps so how was I going to earn my full 28k if the work is not there. Holidays yeah right you try getting holidays ya want and good luck. Help and support, is never given all there bothered about is parcels get delivered on time and in there eta your health or and other issues is no concern to them. £1000 deposit you won't see that again they do you over on The van when you leave. Like I said you can make money but only if ya face fits and you been there for years. They even trying to get there c and d drivers to go and franchise but there refusing tells you all. For the 4 months I was there I can honestly say wish I never did it can see dpd becoming a laffing stock soon as there was 4 or 5 leaving per week and there just replacing them the week after weather that's just in the depot I was in not sure but its like a conveyor belt of drivers.
